Alicja Maślak-Maciejewska – graduate in art history and in Jewish Studies. She is interested in the social and religious history of the Galician Jewry. Her main areas of expertise include progressive Judaism in the partitioned Polish lands and the history of Jews in Krakow. She is the author of a book on the biography of a rabbi Szymon Dankowicz and of a number of articles pertaining mainly to Galician Jewry. Her newest book, on a social and religious history of Krakow progressive Jews (praying in the Tempel) is about to be published in 2018. Some of the publications are available here:
Currently she works in the Institute of Jewish Studies at the Jagiellonian University.
