The international conference Children in Europe, Children and Europe was held at the Center on April 20, 2007. It was organized by Center Director Uri Eisenzweig and co-organizers from the Rutgers-Camden Center for Children and Childhood Studies: Jane Siegel, Associate Professor of Sociology, and Janet Golden, Professor of History.
Support was provided by the Center with additional funds from the Camden School of Law and the School of Social Work, New Brunswick.
The conference aimed to bring together both Rutgers faculty and the many non-governmental, foundation, and state organizations dealing with children. It compared European and American approaches in issues of juvenile justice, child welfare, and children's health.
