Center for European Studies Receives Second Consecutive "Getting to Know Europe Award"
Rutgers Center for European Studies has received a second consecutive "Getting to Know Europe" award from the Delegation of the European Union to the United States in Washington, DC. The $80,000 grant will fund a series of outreach activities designed to raise awareness of the European Union across New Jersey. Activities will include an internship program through which Rutgers undergraduates will mentor several New Jersey high school teams competing in the national Euro Challenge competition, a Europe Day celebration open to the general public, and five EU-New Jersey Business Forums organized in partnership with the European American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, which will promote transatlantic trade and investment ties. The first Getting to Know Europe grant activity, the EU-New Jersey Business Forum on Professional Services, will be held February 28 at the Nassau Inn in Princeton. For information click this link.
