Natalia Aleksiun

Aleksiun pictureNatalia Aleksiun is Associate Professor of Modern Jewish History at Touro College, Graduate School of Jewish Studies, New York. She studied East European and Jewish history in Poland, where she received her first doctoral degree in history at Warsaw University, with a dissertation that resulted in her first book, Where to? The Zionist Movement in Poland, 1944-1950. She received her second doctoral degree in Jewish studies at New York University.

Halina Goldberg

Halina Goldberg is Professor of Musicology at the Jacobs School of Music and affiliate faculty of the Robert A. and Sandra S. Borns Jewish Studies Program and the Russian and East European Institute at the University of Indiana-Bloomington.

Goldberg's interests focus on the interconnected Polish and Jewish cultures. Much of her work is interdisciplinary, engaging the areas of cultural studies, music and politics, performance practice, and reception, with special focus on 19th- and 20th-century Poland and Central/Eastern Europe, Chopin, and Jewish Studies.

Nancy Sinkoff

Sinkoff picture

Nancy Sinkoff is Associate Professor of Jewish Studies and History and Director of the Center for European Studies at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Her fields of interest include early modern and modern Jewish history, East European Jewish intellectual history both in the Polish heartland and in its diasporic settlements, the Enlightenment, politics, and gender.
